No. 59204 heading through Crayford, bound for Cliffe Gravel Works

The fourth locomotive of the batch, No. 59204 is seen passing through Crayford on 1st December

2004 with a line of empty 'Brett' hopper wagons on the Acton to Cliffe working. A number of these

hoppers can be seen stabled in the yard at Cliffe Gravel Works. David Glasspool

 


 

''Pride of Ferrybridge'' at Stone Crossing

On the straight section of track through Stone Crossing, No. 59206 is seen passing through with

a train of VDA Sliding Door Vans, bound for Hoo Junction on 5th July 2004. This locomotive has

been named ''Pride of Ferrybridge''. Note that unlike their very similar Class 66 counterparts, the

yellow stripe on the Class 59 EWS livery is without the ''kink'', but instead retains an unbroken
