Changes affecting the signal box since the view of 1984 include the replacement of the black frame lining with green paint, the advent of a ''Network SouthEast'' name board, and the change in position of the semaphore arm. The mechanical rods and cables can be seen dropping through the framework underneath the cabin. © David Glasspool
A general London-bound view shows that the 400 yard-long ''up'' side trailing goods siding is still in existence, but the former site of the opposing ''down'' side loop has since been swallowed up as part of an enlarged car park. On the right is the goods shed, which has since become host to a snooker club. © David Glasspool
A Dover-bound view shows the "up" siding, with a surprising lack of overgrowth and vegetation, terminating at the road bridge. On the left and just be seen the cutting which was formerly host to a sand drag "escape lane", running off the "down" electrified loop. © David Glasspool
