Class 376
Metro ''Electrostar''
No. 376035 is seen departing Abbey Wood on 3rd July 2006, with a Cannon Street to Dartford
stopping service. The weather was typical of that month. David Glasspool
No. 376027 is depicted emerging from the darkness of Cannon Street on 2nd August 2006.
Beside the unit can just be seen Class 465 No. 465178. David Glasspool
Dartford station was in the process of being repainted when No. 376018 was observed, on 28th
November 2007. The unit was forming the 16:19 service to Cannon Street. David Glasspool
An unlikely visitor to Margate on 11th August 2009 was No. 376009, far from its usual patch.
It was seen rounding the curve at the station, Ramsgate-bound, at 18:34, one minute before a
Class 395 passed through. I have been reliably informed that this is a regular test trip conducted
by ''Southeastern'', but the nature of the test is not known. The Class 376 runs most Mondays to
Fridays from Slade Green Depot to Ramsgate and returns later in the evening. (With thanks to
Barry Eveling for this information). John Horton
