On 22nd December work was underway lifting the track serving platform 1, to allow realignment in connection with this surface's eastward extension. The ''up'' through line, which the line of wagons can be seen upon in the above view, was due for permanent abolition. A ''Freightliner'' Class 66 was on site this day. © David Glasspool
