Another access point to the permanent way is seen as the branch curves round sharply. In 170-yards, the line plunges into a 337-yard-long tunnel under the locality of ''Blues Point''. © David Glasspool

The splendid Lavender Bay is in view; to the extreme right, the edge of Luna Park Amusements is evident. The railway can be seen curving around the rear of the bay, rolling stock in the form of two four-vehicle ''K'' sets being in view. Note also, on the far left, accommodation for railway staff. © David Glasspool

Nearing the sidings and after exiting the tunnel, the line embarks upon a shallow viaduct which, naturally, dates from the line's opening. This comprises six arches of the English Bond Brick style. © David Glasspool
