Cruising through platform 1 is GBRf Class 66 No. 66752 hauling the 5X89 11:29 working from Slade Green Depot to Doncaster Works Wagon Shops. In the consist is a Class 465 unit sandwiched in-between two barrier vehicles converted from former Class 508 EMU trailers. A programme is currently underway to equip the Class 465 fleet with lavatories which meet Railway Vehicle Access Regulations (RVAR). As per those on Class 375 and 395 fleets, this will make the toilets wheelchair accessible, and the work is being carried out by Wabtec Rail Limited at Doncaster. © David Glasspool
