Sink the Link! The motto still stood proud on the railway bridge at the eastern end of Farningham Road station in 2004. Indeed, the area did not totally escape the international trains: scheduled services began running down the ''Chatham'' line to as far as Fawkham Junction from 28th September 2003, but at least this did not entail mass housing demolition. © David Glasspool
