The station underwent a refurbishment programme during 2008, which sought to replace the platform name boards, eliminate the waiting shelters, and apply a new colour scheme. The signal box remains to control the pedestrian access to the level crossing. © David Glasspool

Even the prefabricated concrete platform backing has not escaped the prevailing ''battleship grey'' colour scheme. Despite the leafy surroundings, there is constant noise at the station, generated by the nearby Dartford Crossing. © David Glasspool
