An earlier view of the station from 8th February 2004 shows the shallow brick base of the ticket

office. The indented pattern of the brick wall was an architectural feature of both LC&DR and

The ''up'' side building looked solid on 8th February 2004, and the canopy was in very good

condition, but sadly every window was boarded up, which appears to be the norm for many

intermediate stations in this day and age. David Glasspool
