In 1984, a BR Blue Class 73 is seen approaching milepost 27 from London, at the western end of Hoo Junction yard, hauling a rake of Brett empty hopper wagons, bound for Cliffe Gravel Works. © Chris

The extensive lands of ''Hall Place'' are in the background of this view, which shows No. 73002 hauling a engineers' formation from Hoo Junction to Hither Green. The section of line seen here is between Crayford and Bexley. © David Glasspool Collection
1988
InterCity ''Executive'' livery was the order of the day on this occasion, which shows No. 73131 ''County of Surrey'' stabled at Tonbridge West Yard. In the background can be seen a refurbished 4 CEP in the pleasing ''Jaffa Cake'' scheme. The locomotive became part of the EWS locomotive pool after privatisation. It was eventually withdrawn in September 2003 and scrapped in August of the following year. © Wayne Walsh
