The temporary station, located in the former station car park on the ''up'' side, was scheduled for completion in late summer 2014, but as the above view shows, there was still much work to do come September. The building behind the footbridge is a telephone exchange. © David Glasspool

Since the photographs taken in August, the central staircase had gained framework for its roof. To the left, behind the white van, is the temporary booking office which, illustrations suggest, will be supported upon stilts to take it to the same level as the main footbridge span. © David Glasspool
