This is the main entrance to the station on Victor Horta Place, which is adjacent to the Eurostar terminal. Beyond the glazed facade is a wide subway, which runs the width of the station, providing access to the platforms. © David Glasspool
Through the entrance seen in the previous photograph, the bustling — and seemingly endless — subway comes into view. The passageway is flanked on either side by eateries and shops. The entrance to the Eurostar terminal is out of view, to the right. © David Glasspool
The dedicated Eurostar section is titled the “Channel Terminal”, and is located on the right after entry from Victor Horta Place. The security controls, shop, and waiting room for London departures are on the same level as the subway; lifts and escalators take passengers up to the platforms. © David Glasspool
One of SNCB’s ticket offices is a short distance from the “Channel Terminal”, on the same side of the subway, lighted in a distinctive blue hue. © David Glasspool
A view towards the buffer stops of platform 1 shows the 17:56 departure to London, formed of Class 374 set Nos. 374015/16. This was running nearly one hour late and, as a result, ran non-stop to St Pancras. © David Glasspool
