This night view shows a special guest at platform 6. ''King'' Class No. 6024 had arrived with the ''Torbay Express'' from Kingswear. Destined for Bristol, it broke down at Exeter and had to be dragged back by a Class 67 diesel. On the right, we can see that much of the goods shed has gone. © David Glasspool
The Class 47s and 50s are long gone, and Class 159 DMUs now form Waterloo services. These were introduced from 1992 onwards. On the left can be seen No. 159018, having arrived from Waterloo coupled to a second unit, whilst on the right is HST power car No. 43207. Both footbridges and the canopy valances were in desperate need of a repaint. © David Glasspool
The ''Torbay Express'' is seen leaving Exeter St David's behind Peppercorn A1 No. 60163 ''Tornado''. This was a return trip from Bristol to Kingswear. Behind the train can be seen the former transfer shed, where goods were exchanged between standard gauge and Broad Gauge trains. © David Glasspool
