Northfleet

A complicated arrangement. Flying over the top is the North Kent Line; the tightly-curved single-track on the left, complete with guide rail, is that leading to the former cement works site. To the right of the dividing fence is the ''down'' line from Ebbsfleet International: here, it splits for the sidings in Church Path Pit. © David Glasspool

Looking in the opposite direction, Ebbsfleet International can be seen in the distance. Freshly ballasted, the new single-track line is seen curving round to run parallel with the North Kent Line, and enter the former site of the Blue Circle Cement sidings. © David Glasspool

Northfleet station can be seen in the background of this London-bound view, which shows a new loop formation. On the left is the lifted track of those cement sidings which were last used in 1993. © David Glasspool
