The station, originally named ''Lions Holt Halt'', was commissioned in the following century, immediately west of the road bridge above the ''S'' of ''Sidwell''.
The locality from where it took its name is indicated above the railway. The school shown underneath ''Ivy cottage'' is now being used by the football club and
