Class 411 / 412
3 Cep; 4 Cep; 4 Bep
South Eastern Division
Also on 27th February 2004, 4 Cep No. 1602 was seen at Swanley whilst forming a service to London
Victoria, wearing the white and yellow stripe livery of former operator Connex South Eastern. This was
the only 4 Cep to receive these colours, the livery being applied during crash repair work. The last 4 Cep
to wear ''Jaffa Cake'' livery was No. 1589, being repainted into Network SouthEast colours in December
1991.David Glasspool
As a stop-gap measure during 2004 and 2005, the South Eastern Division acquired a number of
off-lease 4 Cep units from South Western Division to provide cover on services whilst the then new
Class 375s were still being prepared. The existing livery was slightly modified by removing the vivid
orange stripe and concealing the 'South West Trains' logo with white tape. 4 Cep No. 1535 is seen at
Sevenoaks (Tubs Hill) forming a Charing Cross service on 23rd May 2004. The hideous footbridge
was the result of a 1970s station rebuild. David Glasspool
Another ex-South Western Division unit, 4 Cep No. 1699, is seen approaching Victoria's ''Chatham''
side on 22nd October 2004. David Glasspool
