Coming in from the east, we see the route our train should have originally taken: the Westbury Cut-Off Line.
The next avoiding line coming up was the Frome Cut-Off, but our excursion was booked to stop at Frome

A splendidly restored timber trainshed presented itself at the delightful Frome station, which has been reduced
to one platform face from two. David Glasspool
The stop at Frome was of half hour duration, and on departure, a look back at the station afforded a view of
what were formerly the sidings of the Permanent Way Department. These are on the ''down'' (eastern) side of
the station - the goods yard was formerly positioned on the western side of the site. David Glasspool
